F*ck this website is a website on which the author is placing ‘F*CK’ stickers on everyday posters and signs. The pictures are speaking for themselves and are sometimes hilarious.
A short conversation between two people about Javascript. Beneath a small quote:
“So if I were to visit some dark corner of the internet where people ran malicious scripts like this, people might be able to capture that my name is Bob and I live at 123 Maple Drive Mayberry, NC? And that sometimes I look at boobs at The Daily Niner?”
Who says you need to work with the latest versions of software on the market. Some people probably work faster in an older version, then a new one. A good example of this is Bob Staake. This guy makes art completely in Photoshop 3.0.
The people behind Sofa just launched a new product called Kaleidoscope. It’s a program that lets you spot the difference in files and compare them to one another. With full integration of SVN, Mercurial and Git it’s a great tool to extend your comparison. There are a lot of programs that let you do this, but the best thing of Kaleidoscope is that it let’s you do this with images. Combine this with the fact that it’s made by the people who gave us Subversions and you’ll know that it’s a product that you have to have.
Just now i stumbled upon Smokescreen. It’s a HTML5/javascript based script for your browser, which rewrites flash into an animated SVG image. In other words, it makes viewing flash on an iPhone/ iPad or iPod possible. The code is still in development only showing a few demos from the developer himself, but the outcome looks promising. Now there’s just the question of, how much CPU power and battery is this thing requiring.
You have to love the irony in this one. Someone claiming to be BP is generating some pretty funny tweets.
Been following this account now, and every single post makes me laugh out loud. It’s the first Twitter account that’s probably going to make it as a tv-series on NBC starring William Shatner.
Justin is a 29-year old who (because of a breakup with his girlfriend) lives with his 74-year old father. And every time his father says something funny he puts it on twitter. This, resulting in a hilarious account which will keep you busy reading for a couple of hours.
This guy sends a personal message to the Adobe help desk every time his Photoshop quits on him.
It’s finally here. Steam for Mac, a platform where you can demo, download and buy PC/ Mac games online. All games are represented in a neatly organized website and a lot of them are under € 5,-/ € 10,-.
The ways in which you can pay on Steam are good as well, supporting all the mayor credit cards, PayPal, ClickToBuy and many others. If you’re are Mac user and like your games, you should definitely try out Steam for Mac
HTML 5 is standing around the corner. And more and more websites are embracing the new standards already. If you want to know how good your browser supports the new standards in HTML take a look a this link.
Finally, Spotify the online music playing service is coming to the Netherlands. After deploying in Finland, France, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom the company is expanding and rolling out it’s service to a few more countries.
Some early adaptors already have an account when the first went into Beta and didn’t have restriction on countries, but for the rest. Keep your eyes open for the 18th of May when they launch in the Netherlands.
The letter linked to below is an open letter from Steve Jobs explaining why the iPhone has no and never will have support for Flash. It’s a long letter but it’s worth the minutes it takes to read it.
Even if you’re a true Apple hater and find their products bad or evil. It’s a straight forward letter that you can’t compete with. I for one am interested in the response from Adobe that will follow to this clear statement.
SelectorGadget is an open source bookmarklet that makes CSS selector generation and discovery on complicated sites a breeze.
I’ve been using it for a while now and it really helps me create does difficult selectors.
Diesel is showing us a new way of displaying their collection for the summer.

And a little quote:
As I trust my offspring’s ability to separate fact from fantasy, I am happy for him to participate in your indoctrination process on the proviso that all references to ‘Jesus’ are replaced with the term ‘Purportedly Magic Jew.’

This online ImageVamp tool is a perfect example of what we’re all thinking. Flash is done! If HTML and Javascript are going to expand like have been doing over the last few months/years, we don’t need flash anymore.
